G Speed Corp & Technosquare

I went to G Speed Corp. in Hawthorne today to drop off
some goods. This is the place where we buy most of the
JDM front clips, engines, and transmissions.
Also I bought my JZX90 Mark II here !
Ask for Kenji if you need any help from G Speed regarding
JDM cars and parts !!!
Then I headed to Technosquare to drop off my car
for roll cage fabrication. This is where one of our fellow
team member Yoshie works.
You can check out more about Technosquare on our website:
www.driftpro.com and click on "Team Driftpro's Favorite Shops" section.

What is a front clip?

Some say that it is the front fender/bumper because when it is replaced it is bolted on. Others say that it is when the front half of the car is replaced by the front half of another - welded on.

Kudasai, enlighten me? ^_^.

front clip is a front half of a whole car which is cut right under the front seats. so you get the engine, (usually) transmission, ecu, and its harness. front clip is the most convenient when doing engine swaps on a different types of cars.

Wow, I was leaning that way from what I was reading but I did not realize that everything was included.

Is it more common for professional drivers/enthusiasts to need this?

BTW.. Semester is finally over! Finals tomorrow!! Woot! I finished my movie poster and it is on my blog if u want to take a look.

I've been talking to Kenji about a new car for a couple of weeks. I'm very excited. He mentioned knowing you and Taka. I'm even more excited now knowing you got your x90 from him :D

Yo Ben,
yes, kenji told me that you were
looking for jzx100.
they used to have one before.
hope they get it again soon !
how's your cressida ?

AnnieC,
is it common for pro drivers to
need this.... it depends.
if you're doing an engine swap,
it's the most convenient.
but if your base car comes with
a good engine to begin with, then
there might not be any need for
an engine swap.

It's quickly becoming like your old x90. wheels base is off but still handles ok turning left, not as good going right. we are going to see if it can be made straight again. and if not I will be getting a x90 or 100 not sure yet

hahaha, yeah it sounds like my chaser !!! i'm warning you though... it's a lot easier to fix a cressida than a jzx90/100 in the united states !

I think a lot of the parts are shared with the IS300 and SC300. Or I can bug you for parts from the zombie ;P

sure, that's if i have any usable parts left on my chaser. . . .

i might be looking for the 5speed pedals. it seems it's a lot cheaper to get an auto car. Txt me or something, it's easier that way 520-406-9000. i got lots of questions :P

How long does it take you to build a car? From the time you strip it down to the finished product?

hiro said...

well, that'll depend on a few things. like your budget, time you spend on the car each day, and your motivation. i'd say you can do it in 1~2months.
but it'll take a lot longer to dial in the car to make it become a competitive drift car.

No loss of motivation here and I will also be debt free in a few months so budget will be rock solid. Outside of school, I am pretty golden. (tight schedule)

I just lack the knowledge to do the work myself and have to rely on others - which is okay but I am a need to know kinda girl ^_~.

Competitive car? One day, maybe.

*^_^* Watch out! LoL
